Exhibition intent: "At the concept incubation for the exhibition, we looked heavily at the cabinets of curiosities in the courts of Early Modern Europe. These ‘‘Wunderkammers’ were collections of natural and manufactured artifacts and social spaces intended to encourage discussion around new scientific ideas and artistic developments. They attempted to build a multidisciplinary picture of reality. We endeavour to explore how artefacts come to hold their power, how its maker constructs this power, the people it interacts with, and its location. We seek to destabilise conventional notions of collecting, and through that, what an ‘artefact’ looks like. When an object’s physicality originates from an amalgamation of organic and mechanical resources from different times and places, its agency and meaning become multiplicitous. We hope this exhibition can be a space to explore these complexities."

Artist Talk Magazine is a quarterly magazine. This is a magazine for everyone and is written by Artists. The main focus of the magazine is to showcase Artists and to give them a chance to share, in more depth, the work they produce. This magazine aims to showcase a wide range of work, inspired by many different influences. The magazine originates from the United Kingdom but will feature Artists from all across the globe. It is my great pleasure to showcase some incredible artists from around the globe, hopefully this gives a great feel to the magazine with lots of different voices.
